The Medical Research Center (MRC), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) was formed in 1998 with the explicit goal of facilitating good quality research. From its humble origins, it has grown into a world class facility supporting research, whose roots are in Qatar, but whose branches reach out to research and educational institutions across the globe. As the creation of the center was need based, it has survived its birth pangs and reached the lofty heights it is at today.

The new HMC logo endorses the importance of research in supporting health care and education of our staff, students and community.The aim of the MRC is patronage of research in HMC for the promotion of better health of the people of Qatar and the World.The MRC enables the brightest minds in HMC to collaborate on cutting edge projects, bringing together top researchers in the institution to work together on bio-medical issues that are of importance to Qatar and a concern in day to day practice.

The staff of MRC will provide all possible support to HMC Researchers for the successful completion of their projects. We are confident that the MRC at HMC will provide a channel for action on research that can be utilized by HMC and international health researchers. The Medical Research Center is dedicated to strengthening positive attitudes, knowledge and actions of those who pursue research.
